In 2025, the Dominican Republic successfully implemented its new generation electronic passport (ePassport), marking a major milestone in the country’s modernization of secure identity and travel documents. Implemented in partnership with Thales and the local partner MIDAS, this national project represents a strategic step forward in strengthening document security, enhancing international interoperability, and improving the citizen experience.
