Sustainable Solutions Developed:
1. Biofort
a. Biological soil activator.
b. Made from waste cotton banknotes removed from circulation.
c. Optimized aerobic composting process: from 9 months to 12 weeks.
d. Organic fertilizer, certified, free of contaminants.
e. Implemented in Colombia and the Central Reserve Bank of Peru.
2. BIOBANKMULCH
a. Protective ring for trees, made with banknote waste.
b. Natural barrier that improves the tree's environment.
c. Increases beneficial microorganisms and captures CO₂.
d. It retains moisture (up to 260%), it decomposes in 9 months.
e. 12,500 rings installed in reforestation projects in Colombia.
3. BiobankSludge
a. Converts intaglio print sludge into soil amendment.
b. Sustainable alternative to incineration or landfills.
c. Process in two phases:
– Phase 1: Laboratory analysis and characterization of the sludge.
– Phase 2: Industrial composting with selected microorganisms.
d. Result: Certified agricultural amendment (complies with EU and Colombian standards).
Corporate Benefits
a. Regulatory compliance: avoids incineration, reduces carbon footprint.
b. Cost reduction: less transport, more economical waste disposal.
