The 100 GTQ Commemorative banknote design emerged from very interesting concept of: drawing back to the historical design of this denomination, the necessity to adapt it to its present version and look and finally adding on top of it the newest technology in form of cutting-edge security features. It’s a story on compromise, selective decision making and taking up technological challenges that led to satisfactory result of creating a banknote to celebrate 80 years of the Bank of Guatemala and keeping its look of the denomination in circulation for daily unaltered payments.

It’s a message about the event to commemorate that goes from hand to hand, form eyes to eyes and at the same time it fulfils its primordial task of value flow.
